TEN STUDENTS WILL START STUDY IN SOUTH KOREA THIS YEA

Two representatives from Youngsan University, Professor Lee Kyungchan and Ms. Chung Sooah visited UMS to give a Pre-Departure Orientation to students who will start their study in Youngsan University this year (19/07). The ten students, consisting of three Management students, four Mechanical Engineering Students and three Civil Engineering students are scheduled to leave in August. During the session Professor Lee and Ms. Chung checked students’ documents and explained about living in South Korea and the academic life in Youngsan University. Prior to starting their study, students are required to take a compulsory 6-month Korean language class. Some of the university’s officials such as Vice Rector IV (Dr. Muhammad Fattah, M.Ag), Head of the Office of International Affairs (Supriyono , Ph.D), and Deans of some faculties also attended the meeting. Discussed in the meeting were the possibility of sending Korean language teacher to UMS and further collaboration in joint-research. UMS and Youngsan University have signed an MOU for double degree and joint-degree program for undergraduate programs such as Mechanical Engineering, Communication Science, Civil Engineering, Management and Law.
