The three Darmasiswa students from UMS—Gyuri (Hungaria), Lilla (Hungaria) and Aidee (Thailand) attended a closing ceremony of Darmasiswa 2016/2017 held by The Ministry of Education and Culture and hosted by Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. (10/5) The event was attended by 540 foreign students from various countries and held for 3 days. In this event there will be 3 competitions such as Indonesian journal writing, video blog (vlog) competition, and traditional Indonesian game. Three Darmasiswa students from UMS became the 2nd winner in vlog competition. In their vlog, they displayed cultures from Solo city, including gamelan factory, the process of making batik solo, Solonese Bridal make-up and solonese wedding ceremony. Gyuri and Lilla previously won Indonesian singing contest held by Universitas Diponegoro. “We are lucky to have such talented students such as Gyuri and Lilla since they have already won two competitions: Singing and Producing vlog at national level, I think it is a great achievement”, said Hepy Adityarini, Secretary of international Office UMS.
